Students Playing Jazz Berks Jazz Jam is a monthly opportunity for students to play jazz in a live setting, while honing their improvisation skills in a supportive environment.

Jazz Jams are held the second Wednesday of every month. Mark the dates on your calendar!

Note: No charge for participating students. There is a $3.00 cover charge for adults and non-participating students.

Exeter Jr. High Auditorium
Time: 6:30 p.m. JHS Honors Choir
Jam: 7:00 p.m.
Guest artists:
"The Art of the Jazz Vocal" with Robin Work on vocals, Andy Roberts on piano, Steve Meashey on bass, Dave Zygmunt on drums.

Miller Center Center for the Arts/RACC Campus

     7:00 p.m.: Jam session

  • Improvising
  • Playing different musical styles
  • Performing as a unit
  • Listening to each other
  • Listening to recordings
  • Reading chord symbols
  • Keeping track of your place in a song
    ...and many more aspects of being a jazz musician.

The Jazz Jam also has a growing library of books, CDs and DVDs that you can borrow!
